WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, the White House’s Office of Science and Technology Policy released its comprehensive national AI Action Plan, “Winning the Race: America’s AI Action Plan marking a pivotal milestone in the U.S. government’s efforts to secure global leadership in artificial intelligence.

The AI Action Plan identifies federal policy actions across three central pillars: Innovation, Infrastructure, and International Diplomacy and Security aiming to accelerate AI innovation, streamline infrastructure deployment, and strengthen international partnerships and cybersecurity measures. Legislogiq’s Farhan Chughtai released the following statement:

“The release of this national AI strategy represents a decisive shift toward executive-driven governance and accelerated implementation. However, with the absence of comprehensive federal legislation on key issues like algorithmic accountability and consumer protection; states and industry stakeholders will have an essential role in shaping effective governance frameworks.”
