Date: July 23, 2025
Aiming to cement U.S. leadership in AI, President Trump signed 3 AI executive orders to fast-track data infrastructure, curb state-level restrictions, and mandate political neutrality in government AI tools.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Yesterday, President Trump delivered his first major address on artificial intelligence since the start of his second term, headlining the Winning the AI Race summit hosted by the All‑In Podcast and the Hill & Valley Forum.
The half-day summit convened leading voices from government, tech, and industry to outline a bold vision for accelerating American AI innovation, economic expansion, and industrial resurgence. Legislogiq’s Farhan Chughtai released the following statement:
“Today’s address marks a turning point in how the federal government is positioning artificial intelligence not just as a technology, but as a national strategic asset. As we continue to accelerate development, it’s equally critical to ensure thoughtful guardrails and strong consumer protections are in place, striking a balance that keeps the U.S. competitive while upholding public trust and accountability.”
The announcement comes as the U.S. races to define its leadership role in the global AI landscape amid rapid technological advancement and emerging regulatory debates at home and abroad.

Following the address, President Trump signed three executive orders as part of his broader AI Action Plan, which was formally unveiled as part of a sweeping national executive-led strategy on AI. These three executive orders revolve around:
EO 14320: Promoting The Export of the American AI Technology Stack: Establishes a federal strategy to promote the export of trusted, full-stack U.S. AI technologies including hardware, models, and standards to allied nations, while limiting federal funding for states enacting restrictive AI laws.
EO 14319: Rooting Out “Woke AI” in Federal Deployments: Requires federal agencies to ensure that AI tools used in procurement and deployment are free from political or ideological bias, promoting objectivity and trust in government AI systems.
EO 14318: Accelerating Federal Permitting of Data Center Infrastructure.: Directs federal agencies to expedite permits and leverage federal lands to accelerate the buildout of AI data centers and semiconductor facilities critical to national AI capacity.
“We need one common-sense federal standard that supersedes all states.”
In his keynote, President Trump emphasized the strategic importance of maintaining U.S. leadership in AI, outlining his administration’s priorities for expanding high-performance infrastructure, ensuring global competitiveness, and calling for a standardized federal framework for AI regulation.
